Post pics of your truck/trucks right here but first here's a couple rules:
1. Try to keep it on topic
2. Feel free to compliment someones truck but PLEASE don't quote pictures because it clutters it up... instead just address the person by their screen name/handle
3. Dont bash someones truck.... remember we all love our trucks and they are ALL a work in progress!

Apparently there is... I right clicked on your pictures and choose view image and it shows it at normal size.
-
yes the image restriction is 600 wide
-
That really brings the quality of the images down quite a bit - can ya bump that up a lil? ;D

Stripped this one down.

Vilezamboni, I NEED to see more pics of that 75 blazer!! That thing was beautiful! That is almost the exact look I'm planning for my 75, maybe just a bit darker shade of gray. How much lift did that have by the way??
Thanks!!
-
Unfortunately without really diggin these are the only other ones I have of it on my hard drive right now..... My 88 Blazer was the darker grey and looked awesome

Oh that's 4" suspension lift with 35"s
-
That is a great looking truck! I do like the color on the 88(?), but the 75 is just too cool of a truck! What color was the top? I hope you don't mind the dumb questions, but I haven't seen such a subtle and yet sharp looking 75 that hadn't been raped or hilljack engineered!! Hopefully I'll have mine running by summer so I can get out and enjoy the sun!!
-
Thanks! The top was Black

I read the rules in the first post, I'm not sure why anyone would insult someones truck, they are all awesome. I really like Vile's Blazer's very nice, too bad your ex caused you to get rid of that first one you posted, it was very nice.
Anyway, I'm new to these trucks, I've always liked them, and have messed around with muscle cars for years, and I finally was able to pick up a 1985 K10 Silvarado for $1500. It already had Cat back exhaust, 33" Maxxis Buckshots, and very comfortable seats out of a 90's something Chevy van. Here she is (I'll get some more pics tomorrow...):

Good luck with it man! As long as your motivation is there the sky's the limit with these trucks! I love em
-
Well now I know I have a problem ::)
I just bought another Blazer this weekend.
It's an 89 with a 4in lift rollin on 315/75R16's with 3/4 ton axles
Picked it up for $1000 and drove it home(well almost :( )
Until I blew a valve cover gasket at 75mph on the hwy about 70 miles from home.
When the gasket blew it poured oil on the exhaust and caught fire,by then I was stopped and got it out fast enough so no damage.Just the oil burning on the hot exhaust manifold. But I got it home, now job #1 fix oil leak!!!!Then go through the diffs(I smell gear lube >:( ).Here are a couple of pics.
-
Nice lookin' blazer and a great deal--heck the wheels and rubber are worth what you paid. Good thing you got the fire out in time---on some of these newer suv's the aluminum engine block and components don't need much flame to completely melt. My brother's Ford did...
http://www.delbridge.net/expedition (http://www.delbridge.net/expedition)
-
The Blazer looks like a good deal!
SGTDEL that built Ford tough truck burned good. What happened?
-
That's why they call them Found On Road Dead, or Burnt to a crisp either way....
-
lol, we aren't certain, my brother would never admit it (he know's nothing about working on cars), but my dad told me that my bro changed the oil in the Expedition, and he left to go to the store 30 minutes later--parked it to go inside, then looked out and saw smoke. It was too late.
Theory, my brother left a rag either on the exhaust manifold when changing oil, or on the intake or somewhere where it got too hot and WHHUFFF! Since motors are now made of cardboard, plastic, magnesium, aluminum, and whatever else, it don't take much to barbeque.
You know, fire and my family just don't get along. Here's my dad's garage three years back..
http://www.delbridge.net/fire (http://www.delbridge.net/fire) This was due possibly by a hungry squirrel eating wires :o

Thanks for the pics GMC Ted! Beauty of a Burb.. and the 85 is awesome! We like orange here in Tn :D
-
wow, i can't compare to some of the trucks in this thread, but here is my current '83 Sierra and my former '78 K20.
'78 K20, was a K10, installed 14B FF with 4.10 gears and a D44 with 8-lug outers...had a 454 and an SM465 backed by a NP205...
packed up and ready for my move to Ft. Hood, Texas...yep, i drove that 454-powered beast of a truck the WHOLE way...center of clutch disc ripped out 30 miles from destination...i laughed my @$$ off...especially when a new clutch kit only cost me $90 and took me 2 hours to put in...ahh i miss her!
and my '83 Sierra...yea, she's stock, and only has 77k original miles. i'm the 3rd owner. there's a lot of plans in the works for her and i plan on keeping her around long enough for all of them to happen...first phase of the plan, the 305 is GONE. 350 is in the shop, going in right after XMas...
when i first got her...the toolbox had a "see-through" floor, and the headache rack was right behind it...factory AM/FM Cassette Stereo was in the toolbox...i still have it, but it has a Sony CD player in it...still has the factory harness on the radio...i assume it works...
and this is now, after some "junk removal"
this truck has had an interesting story since i've had it. this truck seems to be "self healing"...let me explain...
i bought it from the 2nd owner with 71k original miles (documented). truck would hardly move out of it's OWN way...could barely hold 55 on the freeway...i tried everything i could think of...ran a compression test, replaced fuel filter, ran seafoam through it, did a FULL tune-up, re-adjusted timing...nothing really did much...
one day i was working on the carburetor, replacing the base gasket and generally cleaning the carb...my idiot neighbor manages to drop something down the intake...doesn't tell me (i don't really think he knew...), i fire it up...it stalls...fire it up again to this...KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK. after a bunch of cursing, i put the truck on the street and park it...3 weeks later i fire it up to move it (didn't worry about the motor, figured at this point it was garbage anyhow) and i let it run for a bit..."am i going deaf?" i thought...as the knock got quieter and quieter...until it was gone. that was about 5k miles ago...no signs that it ever HAD a rod knock (and trust me, i have a lot of mechanic friends as well as I'm a mechanic...THAT WAS A BAD KNOCK.)
then, about a few weeks later, it developed a BAD fuel leak from the carb (i had to keep driving it, had no way to work). about 3 weeks later...i notice that it suddenly seems to be running great (it hadn't wanted to idle, ran like crap throughout the RPM range) so i pop the hood...NO fuel leak...same carb, 4k later, still no fuel leaks whatsoever...
after that the transmission (700R4) started acting up BAD. started off in 2nd gear most the time, shifted at really high rpm and really firm, then sometimes acting like it was barely gonna shift at all...i checked everything and it seemed like a healthy tranny...so i came to the conclusion my TV was stuck (or my spring was broken)...when i got out of the Army i couldn't bring the truck with me right away, so it sat at a friend's house for about 2 months...went to get it, dreading the 6 hour trip (it had been averaging 4-6 MPG, had no power and shifting as i said above). fired it up, filled it with gas, and hit the freeway...to my AMAZEMENT it maintained 70-85 the whole way and even not using OD (i had locked it out for power reasons) it still got 13.6 MPG! ever since i got it up here and started driving it daily, it NEVER starts in 2nd anymore, shifts GREAT and has maintained its decent power and it now gets between 13-15 MPG. its had a best (that i've noticed) of 16 MPG with the A/C blasting.
so like i said, i think i got a pretty special truck...:)

VILEZAMBONIE,
Are the wheels on your black shortbed the old E/T slots or what?
I've considered that style wheel but haven't found them in 17 or 18 inch versions. Any ideas?

Here's my 1st truck, a 77 c10 sport the light bar is original. My dad bought it new in 77.

The Black Blazer had the Hurricane style wheels and the GMC has aluminum slots. Slots are reproduced again I just saw them in a catalog and was thinking about getting a new set I'll look into it.
And Chevyrado -that's cool that's your grandfathers original truck. You should keep it forever.

The crazy thing about that is as long as there is gasoline, it'll probably run with some minor maintenance/up-keep to it.
Think about it when everyone else is flying around you'll be the only guy driving on the roads. ;D
-
Thanks guys! I'm keeping this truck forever. and if they quit making gasoline they'll still have propane and I'm changing over..lol. These trucks are great, and none of mine have ever given me major problems, other than the engine wearing out on my 77 at 350k miles, and a tranny in the 77 at about 200k miles.

My 75 LWB 1/2 ton 2WD.

WOW! Best '73-91 Blazer I have ever seen Trav! 8) Just curious, what grille do you have???(Derf, figured out the hood part! :-X)
-
Thats one sweet ride....a one piece window kit would look good on that truck..Any plans on installing one?
-
Sweet ride Trav. ;D
-
Thank you all, that is very cool for you all to say that.. I hope to get it shot in about 4 weeks to get in a truck mag. That is something that I have been wanting to do over 15 years now.. ;D
Dragon, it is a Billet grille. I can not think of the name brand.
Redneckchevy, (One piece window kits) I have been thinking about it. But I like the vent window in the hot, when you don't have AC they work very good.. :D
Wish me luck on getting into to a mag...
Thanks,
Trav
-

This year I am going to Maggie Valley all GMC and Chevy show. It should be pritty cool this year, Charlie is no longer over it. Not that he did a bad job, but he had to much going on to make this show big. The new guy Jeff Cody at jeff@rockytopgrafix.com is trying to make a come back with it. You know ten years ago you would see 500 trucks and last year was like 200. So I hope everyone can make it and that's you too Chris, I hope I get to meet you this year..
Thanks,
Trav
-
Wow, I didn't know Charlie wasn't over it anymore. I know when it was located in Pigeon Forge there was always alot of trucks. I have been going since 1995. The first year they moved it to Maggie Valley there were only about 50 trucks, seriously... I think the divorce with Charlie and his wife caused the move plus she was holding the same show at the same time one year!!! I plan to be there....
-
here are two of mine finished. I also have some projects.
-
what truck show are you guys talking about and where is it at? I'd like to go to that if there are only 50 GMC and Chevy truck lovers there.
Also TNTrucks, I love your 85 4x4, looks exactly like mine but better....
-
TNTrucks those are both nice looking trucks. How about some details?
-
Here you go.. All Chevy GMC Show..
This is a good one, try to make it if you can.. Maggie Valley, NC, May 2,3,4 2008
Please contact Jeff Cody at jeff@rockytopgrafix.com for show info.
Thanks,
Trav

The 85 is sweet
-
thanks ya'll. The 4x4 is an 85 , 6 inch lift, 35x12.50x15, camed up 350, headers to mufflers under cab and nothing beyond there, it sounds rediculous. The blue truck is an 87 fuel injected, dropped about 2 and 4, 20" coys in front, 22" coys out back, cd player with stock speakers, everything else stock. Got a couple more projects to start soon, I will post picks and let you guys see the progress.
-
Welcome TNTrucks! Nice ride BTW...
-
here is my 84 yes its an 84.... i got a lift in the mail but its not going in for a while, and i got a set of 35/14.50/15 thornbirds
-
Thornbirds are good looking tires, but IMO, they're all show. They really don't do too well in mud, haven't for me anyway.
All good looking trucks, btw. I really like the moonvisors. ;D
-
Theres a great bunch of trucks here! Heres a ol' pic of my junk.

Wow thats a wierd color combo....But i realy like it..was that a factory option? i would never of thought about them 2 colors being on the same truck in that patern but i love it
-
Factory paint.
The Blazer was garaged its whole life (til now... I'm almost ashamed to say).
I think the combo was Apple Red and Doeskin Tan.

Nice Blazer, what a survivor! I can really appreciate the condition of that thing after all the metal I just replaced on my truck. Take care of her! :)
-
Nice Blazer! Sweet color combo!
-
It just makes me love these truck all the more..Wish they had more car shows and stuff about them...I mean Iv seen corvette clubs and so on but not a 73-87 truck club and swap meets..

The chevelle site I'm part of is very congested (right now 957 active users!) and people dont think twice about cutting your throat if you say the wrong thing, (but great infinite info). This site being a little slower paced is a little more personal. I (so far) feel more comfortable here. Yes, great job Chris.

Attention owner of the purple stepside on the previous page: PLEASE tell me you fixed the rust and the bed?!? Pretty please! My 77c15 namesake comes from a primered example extremely similar to your truck. I traded a perfectly decent 77 c10 for that hunk of junk. Ran it once, burned the tires off, parked it, then traded it back.

I can't say the salt around here is helpin me much. I built a raised bed floor for it to go over the notch I did on the frame. Looks real nice, I made it so it opens like a fiberglass tonneu cover so I can easily get at and work on the rear suspension. To bad its covered in snow right now. I also installed a chevrolet tailgate with hidden latches. No chains slappin around for me. Some severe surgery gonna be happenin this year. I picked up a bunch of replacement panels in the fall. BTW, I sold that truck for 1500, 4 months later I bought it back for 500. I cant seem to shake it. Anybody got a decent set of fenders near me? ;D

Nice looking intake you got there. ;D

Sweet rides choptop! ;D

I like that choptop. My friend had a 67 with chopped top and it looked cool too. I always wondered what one of ours would look like.

I live a couple hours from S.A. and I go a few times a year. Ya'll got some clean looking trucks. I think I ruined the clean look when I added SS badges and my homemade front rollpan. I'll post pics soon.
-
Here's a recent pic of mine lowered a bit and with a blazer grille. I scrapped the homemade rollpan thing, it came out horrible. So I ended up with a recessed bumper and a 2" lower chin spoiler(homemade). I haven't got around to doing the sides of the chin spoiler yet. I also added hood pins and scrapped the latch assembly. Limo tint will be next on my list.

I like how that SS badge looks on the tailgate. I put some on mine, but they don't work with my truck, so I'm pulling them off. I like yours though.
-
Thank you.
actually had some ivory crap inside of it when i bought it so i took it out and had like that for a while.
since ive done some other stuff i put in black vinyl where the ivory was. to me it looks good.
but probally in 3 weeks ill have a bunch of new pics up.
right now its under the knife for the suspension, brakes, cooling, Exhaust, and wiring so when it comes out it'll be all cleaned up.

From space. The movie sucked. The universe is something that interests me a great deal. And physics was my favorite subject in high school. I'd like to start reading up and refreshing myself on astro physics, you know, for fun. LOL.

Psssh I hear ya there Chris!!! I saw it first at an I-Max(Paul Allen's Downtown Seattle Theater gets special versions of Movies, when he wants people to experience them :o), and the Second Time was at a Drive-In! Here's mine, just picked it up last week. Got it in the shop right now getting a new engine in it. I was planning on rebuilding the 305, but my mech had a 350 he was going to use in his 86 and didnt. He made me a deal on it and I took it.

I've done a little bit to it since these were taken. I took these on Christmas when it was given to me.
I got a spray in bedliner, and I cleaned up the interior a lot. (It used to be a beat up work truck)
-
wow, that is a clean truck! what year? i know it's an 85-87...well, unless the grille is wrong, lol.
-
what a christmas gift...and RED at that!
-
Thanks, it used to belong to my very very old neighbor. He would only drive it in the summer. You wouldn't believe what it used to look like. It was a flat blue color with a topper, side steps, and it looked different on the outside. It's a 1987 Custom Deluxe. I believe it's an R-10 1/2 ton. I wish I could show a before picture, but it's not a digital picture, and I don't have a scanner. But yeah, I LOVE it. I turned 16 on the 19th, and my dad restored the truck and gave it to me on Christmas morning. I'll post an updated picture later. Thanks for looking, there's some really cool trucks on here.

It sucks because the picture has the truck in the background in the distance, it's not the subject of the picture. I spent all day looking for more pictures that would have the truck in my neighbor's driveway, but I found nothing. I could ask his still living wife...
-
what engine you runnin in it? it sure is pretty!

Wow, there are some really nice lookin trucks here! And then there is my old beater...

I think the beaters are just as cool. Reliability is the key here.

I'm back, and here's my contribution...
A 1987 V1500, TBI 350 and a 1973 C10 Cheyenne in pieces. Someone's gotta represent the ol' "mustard trucks".

Post pix of the floor!

That is one clean, nice-looking 73 C10 Cheyenne there! Go mustard trucks!
Mine was mustard yellow once, before I got it. Some bozo painted it refrigerator white... except for inside the cab and inside the bed.
-
Most often, East Coast trucks aren't nearly as clean as you think once you start tearing them apart. Front fenders, for example, can look sweet as sweet as pie until you try to break that lower-rear bolt loose... Wow, look at all that rust! I just threw out two bedsides that I thought I could save... rust on the insides clear up to the rails.
I recently scored a nice set of fenders and a radiator support and expect to have the cab and nose ready this summer. Then again, you never know which way a project could go this early in the game. The only thing I know for sure... it'll be Mustard in the end.

Nice truck! :o
-
Leevon, leave that truck the way it is, it is gorgeous! Jeremy
-
what size tires are those?
-
I like that color Leevon. You got a clean ride there.
Here's a picture of my truck that I thought was pretty cool. I took this picture 2 days after the accident I had in the donor truck. At that point I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to do the swap with my limited knowledge, lack of expercience, and lack of money.

Thanks guys! The pictures do it way too much justice...
Tires are plane jane 275/60/15.

Leevon,
Very very nice truck. What is an R10 though, I've heard of C/K and even the G designations of the vans, but what is R?
Dan

Dan
The Last of this bodystyle were designated R for 2WD and V for 4wd, since the Next Generation was given the C & K designation.... The Chevy & GMC Truck divisions agreed it would be less confusing, than what Olds by calling their Car Model carry overs "Classics"(Think 87-88 RWD Cutlass Models, since they used the same name on the newer FWD 2drs that came out in '87)...
-
I don't know that actually seems more confusing to me, I mean it's been a c/k designation since like 73 or even before that why change it for the last year and then go back to the c/k designation again for the new body style?
-
MudMon, the new style overlapped the old for 88,89,90,91. so the new style got the c/k and the old were given r/v. Only the overlap years are the problem, GM needed a way to distingush so when a guy came in with a 88 C1500 and needed a fender, they would know what to give him.
-
overlap? I thought just the suburban went until '91. I thought our trucks stopped in '87 and the new ones picked up in '88...GM is just trying to confuse me, andway I like the truck whatever the designation it is...
-
1/2 Ton trucks stopped in 1987. 3/4-up trucks continued until 1991, during that time the 3/4T C/K series was availible also... The Burbs carry the same designation or R/V.
-
my 82(http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm312/glasley1/100_0742.jpg)
-
beautiful truck Gary82. Is that the copperhead color? Thats what I want on my 86 extended cab. 8)
-
I concur...that is a beautiful 82! Just the right color and stance, the cowl hood...it's a very well rounded truck. I bet you either have a good bit of trophies or can easily obtain them.
-
very good looking truck!
BTW where did you get that bumper or where did you find the stuff to make it?
-
thanks for the nice comments ,the color is molten bronze and that bumper is just a smothie bumper thats had the bolts shaved
-
Well, even though my baby is gone I may as well put her pics in here. 1978 C10 Big10, 350cui, Th350, Quadrajet, 2 whl. drive, 235/75R/15's, True dual turbo's, all stock, 111,000 miles, electric trailer brakes, external trans cooler, 3.08 rearend, 100% rust free, Ziebarted when new. Pics following after black ice incident.
-
Now for the demise of my baby pics......... No, I could not keep her.
-
why couldn't u get it back ? you could just pay around 500 from your money given to you and you should be able to keep it legally!
on the other hand the insurance claim guy or somebody must of loved them for themselfs.
-
Now for the demise of my baby pics......... No, I could not keep her.
My tribute to your lost loved-one...
"Baby Blue" by George Strait,
She looked so much like a lady
But she was so much like a child
The devil when she held me close
An angel when she smiled
She always held it deep inside
But somehow I always knew
She'd go away when the grass turned green
And the sky turned baby blue
Baby Blue was the color of her eyes
Baby Blue, like the Colorado skies
Like a breath of Spring, she came and left
And I still don't know why
So, here's to you, and whoever holds my Baby Blue, tonight
She brought colors to my life
That my eyes had never touched
When she taught me how to care
I never cared so much
I try not to think of her
But I fall asleep and do
And drift off where the grass is green
And the sky is baby blue
-Rest in peace, Blue
-
Wow, dude. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. She really was beautiful. I hope you find another one just as nice. Please don't get depressed...dare I say it, but these are merely possessions...you can't take anything with you when you go.
-
my work in progress. its an 87' tbi 350. just bought hedman headers, orig. flow 40's, edelbrock intake (the dome triangle steel mesh), and Chrome valve covers. the interior is beautiful for its age. so i'll soon have some of those pics

VileZambonie,
I dug up an old thread with some of your buetiful trucks on it. I would like to see a side profile of the black 4x4 with the black painted Hurricane rims on it if you have any. The rims are what I'm most interested in, I have a set that came with my 75 LWB and since I'm gonna do satin black on I'm thinking of painting these rims I have after catching a glimse of yours.

Nice looking trucks. I had an '82 Silverado a few years back. Had to trade it because at the time we only had it to drive to work and I let it go for something cheaper on gas...I miss that truck. Here's my other truck I recently traded for:

1977 Chevrolet P/U K20 - Full time 4wheel drive
From factory:
400, th350 (crate 350 in it now)
Silverado package
factory Air
factory power locks
everything works
only issue; she leaks oil from the front of the oil pan and tranny fluid front, not a lot, just needs some every four to six weeks...
I like that paint scheme. Similar to what I'm wanting for my k20 in the future

This is my 81 K10 I built up this year. New 350, all new brakes, new interior, replaced ALL the rubber seals, gaskets, new tires. Had some minor rust fixed. I love it, I used to have a 86 c30 crew cab dually lowered, but sold it in 2011. I have always wanted a 4x4 square body and now I have one.

I am trying to figure out what I want to do with this truck. I originally needed a truck that I could beat up and not worry about damaging it. Unfortunately, it's going the other way because I keep fixing the truck up. I went with a third generation K10 because that's what I grew up with. I remember sitting in the bed of my dads 1977 Chevy K10 as he carted us to school, lol.
I found this truck on Craigslist on October of 2012 for about $3000. It's a 1974 Chevy K10 with a 350 engine, NP203 transfer case, and turbo 350 transmission. The only thing I don't like about the truck is that it's an automatic. I wish it were a manual, but heck, the fact that its a 1974 is great. It qualifies for collectors plates and doesn't need any emissions testing!
There were a few things that needed to be addressed right away -- like a radio system and the front drive shaft. The transmission had some slipping issues, but it worked enough that I could wait on those repairs. This is what the truck look liked when I got it home:
(http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m301/minex_2006/IMG_2458%208.22.35%20AM_zpszd2tewah.jpg) (http://s107.photobucket.com/user/minex_2006/media/IMG_2458%208.22.35%20AM_zpszd2tewah.jpg.html)
(http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m301/minex_2006/IMG_2460_zpsb5eixejq.jpg) (http://s107.photobucket.com/user/minex_2006/media/IMG_2460_zpsb5eixejq.jpg.html)
The paint job looked good, but after about 1 month, it started to rust right through the paint.
(http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m301/minex_2006/10288717_590197721087220_7810998272540537467_n_zps0eh6ezhq.jpg) (http://s107.photobucket.com/user/minex_2006/media/10288717_590197721087220_7810998272540537467_n_zps0eh6ezhq.jpg.html)
So I ended up repainting it with green rustoleum paint. I have no idea what I was thinking. The end result was fugly.
(http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m301/minex_2006/10420212_663434153763576_142694989756518368_n_zpswy1sv9po.jpg) (http://s107.photobucket.com/user/minex_2006/media/10420212_663434153763576_142694989756518368_n_zpswy1sv9po.jpg.html)
I ended up pouring some cash into this truck. I wanted to go back to flat black and took the truck to a more professional painter -- Maaco. :) They sanded the truck down to metal and repainted it flat black. The end result was awesome. I also did many other fixes: Rebuilt transmission, rebuilt transfer case, locking front hubs, full time to part time 4 wheel drive conversion, new driver side and passenger side doors, a set of cherry bombs to replace the junky old mufflers, replaced the old grill with the original 1974 style grill, new mirrors, death proof hood decal, bed liner, hood brace to prevent the infamous hood kink issue, etc.
This is what the truck looks like now :
(http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m301/minex_2006/IMG_8497_zpsiwbnrwz0.jpg) (http://s107.photobucket.com/user/minex_2006/media/IMG_8497_zpsiwbnrwz0.jpg.html)
Man, I'm not even done. There's more I want to do. 6" lift, larger tires, new front bumper and rear bumper, dual fuel tanks, new dash...

This is my 1984 K20 Suburban. Brown Betty.
I bought it for 600 dollars 2 years ago. I put a 2 inch rough country lift on it with 33x12.50 trail diggers and some cheap steel wheels. All in 2,800 and some change. This community has kept me rolling since little bugs pop up here and there. It gets used daily and I don't really pull any punches. Living high in the west elks of Colorado she definitely sees some action.
