Shock mount
« on: March 22, 2011, 03:13:05 AM »
I lost the lower bolt on my driver front shock out offroading. I was wondering what type/size bolt and nut it needs?

1/2" bolt however long it needs to be. Couple of flat washers, and a stove nut, or lock nut.

I dug around in the tool box in the back of my dads jeep. Its loaded up with stuff you might need on the trail. Full set of tierods, pickle fork, nuts, bults, header bolts, rocker arm or 2, distributor cap, points, condensor, chain, cable, brake light switch, etc. etc. etc. The list goes on. Sadly it didnt have a spare battery because we took the jeeps out to the lake today and went to cove one at saguaro lake. Battery completely drained on my. We pull started the jeep(tow strap, key on, in third gear[3 speed]. Waited for it to sputter then pushed the clutch in and gave it some gas to get it going.) And as soon as we came to a stop to unhook the strap it would stall. Not even the brand new alternator and regulator could keep the engine running. But I found a bolt and washers and nut in there and put my shock back up. Thanks for the offer though.
