LS 6.0 into 73 C20
« on: March 09, 2018, 05:46:55 AM »
Hey Guys
I am going for the LS swap,I just pulled the engine and tranny from a 2005 exspress van with 100k
I am gonna use the tranny also, just looking to make a nice driver
My question is from people who have done it?
Any recommendations who to use for parts and wiring, would you do anything different if you did it again?
Headers vs manifolds etc,,

Thanks Jeff

I did a 5.3/4l60e on mine. I did it the more cost effective way. I took the stock harness and modified it myself. I also used the stock headers (though I had to notch the frame on the passenger side so it would clear). I got a TON of info here:

Mines a 4 wheel drive but I’m almost done with my 79 K20 Swap. Lots of lessons learned most documented here: http://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/1979-k20-5-3-swap.21002/page-7#post-414031
