I bought this motor from junkyard , tore down, rebuilt, chunked a couple thousand at it and here it is... thoughts!@??

cant see the vid but where did you get the crank sensor? from what i have heard/read if its not ac then the motor wont like it and theres a chance of it being crappy right out of the box

I have not ran the engine too long......just rebuilt the 2000 all iron lq4, 6.0...new rings, all new bearings, cam bearings too, new: oil pump, timing chain, water pump , alternator, starter, cam sensors...all of the small stuff.. is new..of course now the crank sensor is new also...ran just fine when I first started for the first time....idles kinda of high then has a small run on issue when I kill the ignition....great throttle response though...idles smooth till it drops in drive..think timing is too high @ idle..
700 r4 with factory stall....built trans...shifts very strong,3.73 gear non posi right now, stock driveshaft..cam is a an edlebrock 2215 with performer dual plane, for now running just a 600cfm that cam off of old 350...in the video was the first time I actually shifted into drive...I figure I need to come up with my own curve...truck weighs a lot so.. right now im using pill#4 (almost 36* total timing, heard tat was a bit much?)...I will try a plot that I came up with this weekend...need to get the exhaust welded up so I can use my a/f gauge and tune from there..the 02 bung has to be moved as the shift linkage gets in the way... trying to think of more details for Mr. Vile...lol

CApt..
..idles around 1000 in park..then drops to around 550-650 in drive...you can hear it in the video when i drop it in drive...25*@1000 rpm seems high?...right now using the former carb...edl 1406 600cfm..all i got for now..wanted to get a 670 soon..or 750...right now it is open exhaust..had o2 sensor connected but got an out range lean condition cause of the proximity of the sensor to the opening of the exhaust i assume..getting the exhaust welded this weekend ...disconnected o2 for now btw i havent pulled this truck out of garage since i dropped it in...neighbors and city wont like the open heads...

Idle it kind of high, it should be closer to 700 in my opinion. I wouldn't mess with it without all the sensor hooked up with an exhaust on it.
