im putting a 74 swb frame on my 84 swb.....   will i run in to any problems ??? ???

As in putting a 84 body on a 74 frame.  No problems at all.  Your only issue is you need body bushings to match the frame year, the ones from the 84 won't work.

Front frame horns to mount the front bumper will need to be modified.

Couldn't you just use the 74 style bumper instead of cutting the end of frame off for the 84 style bumper and bracket?

he could but the 73-80 bumpers look silly on a 81-87, but you can fit a 81-87 bumper on 73-80 frame without doing any cutting just a little hammer adjustment, enlarging the bolt holes and some spacers, that how my truck was when I got it so it stayed
