Title: Had hard brake problem...
Post by: 454Man on July 17, 2012, 11:03:39 PM
Thanks to bd my thoughts of my brake booster where confirmed. For about a week now id been having a hard to soft brake petal problem. It started off as when you first step on the pedal it would be firm as a brick, then after 25% of the pedal travel. It would go soft. I drive 50 miles a day and in rush hr trafic 90% of the time, so braking was horrible... why did I let it get so bad you ask. Well the problem didn't start untill I put a can of. Seafoam in the tank. I did take off the vac filter. I think this may be a reason y the booster went bad after I put the seafoam in. Anyhow I put in a new booster and all is well vac is bac to normal and brakes feel like a new 2012 truck. Awesome. Thanks!
