Title: Difference between Brake Calipers 4x4 vs 2WD

So.. I'm about to do a rear disc brake conversion on a 14 bolt 3/4 TON AXLE that's going into my truck.

Apparently, a 14 bolt rear axle swap requires CALIPERS from a 3/4 ton 4X4 truck.  The calipers HAVE to be from a 4x4 truck.

I have access to a 2WD 3/4 ton truck. 

What is the difference, if any, between a 3/4 ton 4x4 front caliper and a 2WD front caliper? Are they identical?
