Need help with parts!!
« on: January 19, 2019, 10:06:33 PM »
Hello
I have a 1986 K30 with 454 swap
The truck originally came with a 350 auto trans now I have a 454 SM465(previous owner did swap)
I was wondering:
Is there a wiring harness that someone makes for the 454 swap?
(I have random wires hanging everywhere and wanted to clean it up)
Does anyone make bumpers with tow hooks in them besides the cucv/Army truck?
Anyone have any LED bars in there grill or any other spot besides on a roll bar or the roof?

Thanks

The factory tow hooks look the best in my opinion, have you thought about putting those on?

You can run LED headlights or mount a light bar just about anywhere. Personally not a fan of putting them on the roof. Below the bumper or behind the grille look best

I have led pods installed behind my grill. I found that there wasn't enough room to install a full bar because of the supports. The pods are small and really I conspicuous behind the grill which is nice because it doesn't take away from the look of the old truck but they are still plenty bright for rain or snow.

I did the same thing and mounted some behind the grille to the core support. You can see them in this picture.
