4" suspension lift leaf springs only?
« on: March 27, 2016, 04:36:20 PM »
Hello - two years ago I replaced the stock worn out shock absorbers with new Rancho RS5000  shocks at all four wheels. I'm interested in a 4" suspension lift and I am curious if I can get away with only purchasing the front and rear leaf springs and continue to use my new(ish) Rancho shocks.

No. You need longer shocks to compensate for the lift. They're usually broken down by lift size. Like 0 to 2 inches, 2 to 4 inches, etc.

take a look here, we had one member who talked about buying shocks for a couple different trucks and finding some "stock" numbers that will work
