cam upgrade
« on: August 11, 2009, 05:14:55 PM »
I'm looking to do a cam upgrade that's going to give me a little more punch than what I have now (stock).  I picked up an Edelbrock performer 2-0 intake for it on a trade, and some long tube ceramic headers already.  I'd like to get one that will work well with these two pieces, without having to upgrade anything else besides lifters, springs, and the timing set. Engine is an early 70's 454 with oval port heads. Carb is a Carter 625 c.f.m.

Thanks,

Engine is an early 70's 454 with oval port heads. Carb is a Carter 625 c.f.m.

A little under carbed. That motor had a 750 from the factory.
