Title: GM square body ranks #3!
Post by: Engineer on August 05, 2017, 07:28:35 PM
A pretty dignified list to be #3 on.

Today's hottest collectible cars are trucks

What a horribly written article

They couldn't bother to tell us what "couple of other pickups " ??

I have a early bronco and a K10

The link Engineer posted eventually me to another link about the 10 deadliest cars to own.
While I'm glad to see my chevy trucks are the #3 on the collectable list, I was shocked to see my Camaro & Corvette are among the deadliest cars to own.  I just can't win.

I personally wished the 73~87 Chevy trucks were #247 on the popularity list. Parts and complete vehicles are in big enough demand as it is. Don't need anybody else to join the club driving the market even higher.

Man, now that I sit here and think about it I should probably put the monster truck on hold and go buy the '87 K-10 4-speed truck I know about that the guy wants $1,400.00 for. It only needs a clutch to be a driver. Hmmmm......

Actually its been for sale for about 2 months now. I drive by it regularly. It's out in the boonies. The guy started out wanting $2200 for it.

But yeah, I'm tempted. Really tempted.

Typical Midwest rust. Not sure I'm ready to tackle another body rebuild.

Man, I remember growing up with the 70's square body truck beating the shoot out of it.  Its hard to believe that its now #3 on Hagerty's hottest collectible cars and trucks list.  I do get a ton of thumbs up whenever I take my 74 out though.

i turn a lot of heads in my 91 crew cab. dont know if its cause its a square or if its a square body or ifs cause i have the cummins with no exhaust. i think its more of "what the heck is making all that noise???" type of reaction

Yup, every time i get gas someone walks up and asks "what year". Then we get into a long conversation about  classic trucks cars whatever. Sometimes you dont feel like talkin and just want to leave, unless its an old timer. I get thumbs up and shouts everywhere. So this is what a movie star feels like. Lol
