Well it's ripped apart and apparently someone dropped something down the intake. It mashed up one of the pistons real good, bent both valves and fractured the cylinder wall. The rest of the engine is like brand new. I could sleeve it and replace one piston, 2 valves, and do a quick rebuild or I could drop the 454 I built for the 75 Blazer in there since I am now considering just selling the Blazer. I just don't have the time for all of these projects right now. So what do you guys think? Drop the Big Block in it's place or do I sink the $ into the 6.2?

Great find. +1 for the diesel if you leave it mil-spec. If you plan to give it a civilian paint job then the big block would be awesome.

I'll probably just end up flipping it. Although it's a solid truck and an awesome foundation for a restoration I just don't have the time and have too many already!

I'd love to get it. I have a 6.2 with 70K on it from this rotted out M1009 that I took in trade (the truck is worse than it looks in the pics).

And the moral of this story is don't drop your air cleaner stud in the intake and think it'll just blow out! What a jackass!
