The sons new project
« on: February 19, 2011, 04:41:44 PM »
i had a phone call the other day from a guy i work with to ask if i was interested in a 1980 c10 stepside..i was interested but cant take on anymore projects for myself right now..i asked my son if he was interested and he was, so we look at it..it had some 450 hp 350 in it that the guy wasnt including in the sale..so he got the body of the truck with a transmission and exhaust..not to bad of a deal..550 bucks..needs body work but considering the year and living in new jersey the truck is actually pretty clean..he has plans to have the truck on the road within a month..we will see..im gonna try to get pics of the progress..

That is a great starting place for your son.  This way he can call it his own.

STEPSIDES RULE !!! LOL ... Cant tell in the pic because of the shadow but does it have sq or round headlights ? In 80 they switched halfway through the year to sq ones ... my 1st truck was an 80 & 1/2 ... Looks like a good start for a decent price .... Tell him good luck with it ...

I would say leave the front grille as it is, then again I perfer 73 - 80 body styles also.
