What are you doing with the truck?  What size tires, 28"?  You must be running some really short tires for that kind of RPM at 65mph.  Personally I think you are going to HATE it.

Do you mean numerically lower? I wouldn't go past 3.73:1 for your app 4.11:1 is pushing it with those tires unless you plan on a 700R4 upgrade.

i have found lots of good deals on ebay for gears , lockers etc , is my diff a 7.5 or 8.5 ring gear?

the rear end i have is not original for my truck, i had a guy replace it last summer i think it cam out of a truck, but who nows what truck. are all ten bolt truck rear ends the same?. i dont want to start buying parts that are not rite. also what you guys think of the protracs lockers ?. thanks for the help   wayne

If it came out of a fullsize chevy and it is a 10 bolt all of them are 8.5".
