Steering box/ stabilizer bar
« on: February 04, 2005, 03:54:00 PM »
I have a '75 K10 that recently took on a nice big chunk of ice going 20mph and lost:eek . Now, I have lost roughly 35% of my left hand turning radius and my steering wheel is 90 degrees off to the right. My pitman arm doesn't look bad, but i don't know what exactly to look for. I am fearing my steering box is toast because, beyond the stabilizer bar, i don't see anything really bad. (tierods, bushings look all right) Steering box has been squeaking with my 32"X11.5" and it might just be time to replace the old thing.
Any info would help.
