got one more that ive got no clue on. It's orange and comes out of the wiring harness directly below where the throttle cable passes through the firewall....

Kmanrsss, have you puzzled this out yet?

That orange wire might be used for the kickdown circuit on a TH400 transmission.  If it is, it should pass through the firewall to a 2- or 3-wire connector inside the cab that either plugs onto a slide switch that is operated by the accelerator pedal bellcrank, or to a relay.

The one coiled up looks like the proportioning valve or the oil pressure...  Which harness connector does it go to?

I also thought brake prop. Valve, but I've got a wire connected there already. Doesn't mean it's correct. Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend to finally look into it.

The 87 brake combination valve is tan/white stripe....

Just checked and I have a tan/white wire at the prop valve. This wire isn't labeled so it was most likely disconnected before I started.

I think I figured it out. While under the truck last night pondering the best way to remove my Transmission I found a bare connector on the DS of the Trany. Looks like it was for the kick down actuation. I guess I'm a dummy. I was positive I checked everything on that transmission. O well one less connection to lift while removing it.
