I keep on coming up with questions to ask you, when you put the new shortbed on did you use the factory holes in the back or did you just center the wheel wells with the axle?

You'll have to drill new holes in the back. I elongated mine too to bring the bed in closer to the cab.

Makes me wonder how I'd like a swb 3/4 ton since I put all the big loads on the trailer anyway.

..and, (trying to avoid searching through the thread for this answer) the bed side panels you used -- were they GM or aftermarket?

The whole bed is aftermarket except for the gate. As far as updates, hopefully I'll have some progress pix worth postin within the next 2 weeks. Just did some skim coating and sanding on the bed. I've been teaching day and night so not much time

Depends on which pix you are going by. Originally I had just spindles and shackles. I put the stock style shackles back in and did an axle flip, front lowering spindles and lowered springs. My tire sizes are different too.
