tpi help
« on: March 06, 2011, 10:30:44 AM »
hey guys i have an 87 swb 4x4 with a 350 out of a 71 chevelle, and a 4spd. I would like to go to a tpi system  my question is what years should I be looking for, should I look for the corvette or camaro style. and how difficult is this swap as i know nothing about fuel injection. I know that I will need the computer and wiring, intake, and fuel pump. Is there any thing else i need to watch out for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You need the early style that will bolt up to the old block, but I suggest getting the later upper section without the 9th injector and use the later model ECM.  It is going to be easier to just buy a complete setup that is refurb'd in my opinion.  Been there, done that...

And you'll need a Fuelie Tank with baffles...

Intake will need to be adapted to go on "normal" heads.
