Dually conversion
« on: February 23, 2021, 09:18:11 PM »
Finally following through with my dually conversion on my 74c10 shortbed, it has dually fenders installed with a custom 5 lug dually adapter, i was told to grab a rear end from a c30 as well as c30 front suspension components, my question is will c30 control arms bolt up to c10 frame? And are the front brake hose from a c30 similar to ones on a c10?, looking to keep the truck low as right now it has a 4/6 drop and will be running 22 inch semi wheels. Thank you for the help in advance.

There are frame/chassis thickness differences between 1/2 ton and 1 ton, but my initial response is that the front end components mount in the same location.

Had a co-worker at a front end shop change out his 1/2 ton front suspension components i.e. ball joint, tie rod ends, control arm bushing from 1/2 to 1 ton. He was a liar for the most part, but his logic seemed sound.

Others will weigh in, Welcome to the site from SoCal San Diego.
