There are frame/chassis thickness differences between 1/2 ton and 1 ton, but my initial response is that the front end components mount in the same location.
Had a co-worker at a front end shop change out his 1/2 ton front suspension components i.e. ball joint, tie rod ends, control arm bushing from 1/2 to 1 ton. He was a liar for the most part, but his logic seemed sound.
