new member from Arizona
« on: May 29, 2020, 04:58:12 PM »
Hi,

Checking in from Arizona, Thank you mod for accepting my request to join the community, I look forward to learning from,  and contributing to, the site. although any thing built in the 80s will catch my attention my contribution and reason for being here is my 87 k20.

despite being from arizona it has quite a bit of rust so i kinda nick named it big lemon, nothing to critical but the floor pans need replaced dramatically.  being that it needs certain repairs done it puts me in a good position to be more creative with the truck as apposed to stressing to keep it 100% original. so far ive only been focusing on minor repairs and weight reduction.
ive made a few repairs to the instrument cluster, installed a review mirror, and completely removed and blocked off fire wall for a/c& heater. seems like it even lifted the front end up maybe 1/4 of an inch lol and cleared lots of space under the hood.

besides that it has a laundry list of things it needs, but not to many to out weight the cool factor of the truck, i love chevy and GM!

thank you guys for checking this out look forward to talking in the forum.

Welcome from the Great State of Texas. (*Northern El Salvador) 8)
I spent most of my money on Jack Daniel's, Copenhagen, pocket knives, and 4X4 trucks.  The rest I just wasted.
