turn signal problems
« on: January 28, 2015, 07:18:58 AM »
can any one tell me how to test your turn signal wires or harness?
have a 79 gmc truck, we replaced steering column due to broken rack, cylinder.
after the switch of columns and changing out the cylinder, was put back wrong and broke the turn signal assembly
behing steering wheel. so we replaced it with the extra turn signal assembly, now no blinkers, hazards, period!
the tun signal handle itself clicks up and down, so appears to be working mechanically, but wondering if wiring messed up

i belive theres only 8 wires going into harness, need info how to test these, thanks guys

No light function power? I had a similar problem with my 85 it was the turn signal relay.
