Title: Headlight Retainer - Rectangular

Sorry. Not sure if this question should have gone here or in the electrical section.

Does anyone know of a cheaper solution to replacing headlight retainers? I have the 4 headlight system on my 86 K10 and the screw tabs have rusted off on the top of the retainer on at least 2 of the 4. I can't see paying $25-$30 for 2 (with shipping) for what seems to be thin sheet metal. Has anyone used the universal Dorman 42407?

You might double check your Dorman numbers.  42407 shows to be for a 2 headlamp system.  Take a look at 42405.
