Dang brother that is a Franketruck... but you know in the end it's about the enjoyment we get out of these old hunks of metal
Yep
The truck actually belongs to my teenage son
When he was about 14 he started making noise about wanting a car so we told him we'd buy him a car up to $5000 if he learned and became fluent in either Spanish or an Asian language
Didn't hear anything for a few weeks so thought I was off the hook
Then one day he says he says "I have my first Spanish lesson on Friday and I want a 68 chevelle "
No problem , probably gonna be a 307 with a power glide but we will start looking , has to be able to drive onto the trailer , and we need to not spend more then $3k on the car and save 2k for fix up
We found a couple but nothing that wasn't bad rusty and one Saturday morning we are playing video games and he says
"Who's that ? Is that uncle Chris ?!
Is that his truck ? !"
My brother had driven up in his 1980 black 4 speed Stepside 4wd
He thought that was cooler than any chevelle
So we found this fine specimen in Arizona for $1600 and had an acquaintance who was coming cross country haul it to us
