Beech Musketeer in the hangar too?
I assume you fly?
i thought 80 was when they switched to rectangular headlights, but maybe not?
i agree that current automotive styling needs help and planes are wonderful and all that, but back to original topic:Take a look at this:https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/pts/d/1980-gmc-chevy-3-4-ton-4x4/6378536161.htmli'm not saying i can go and snatch it because it's not THAT close to me, BUT we can at least see if this is the correct grill you need or would be satisfied with. i thought 80 was when they switched to rectangular headlights, but maybe not?
A bit pricey, but there is one listed for a 77-80 GMC on eBay:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-GM-GMC-Grill-Emblem-Molding-77-78-79-80-Truck-Grille-Royal-Sierra-CK-C30/162699438459?hash=item25e1a4697b:g:B94AAOSwrlRZ1onl&vxp=mtr
Quotei thought 80 was when they switched to rectangular headlights, but maybe not? For 1980 both round and rectangular versions were sold based on trim level, RPO code[/quoteDo you know years are the same as the 79? I was under the impression the 79 was the start of the hood release being inside the truck so I thought the grille was different where the old exterior hood release was. I am also starting to think that there are parts missing from my hood release. Is there supposed to be a safety/secondary latch on exterior? Mine doesn't have that, maybe it was removed because of the tube grille?
I couldn’t stand the tube grilles back in the day. Now as time goes on I can stand them less.I’m kinda like Vile is with the sun visors. Couldn’t stand those back in the day either. Get those things off your trucks. As far as airplanes I plan on a a B-17 someday myself. I need to win the lottery because not only will I have to build one from scratch there isn’t many original parts to choose from. Oh well better finish the monster truck first.
