Let's bag a 77 C15 and do a LS LQ4 Build
« on: January 21, 2018, 06:17:18 PM »
What's up everyone figured I post up my little project.
This thread, I will be doing a LS swap and since my truck needs a little more attention then just the engine I will be replacing somebody panels and doing some suspension modifications. Pretty much a budget rebuild.

I have a short bed 1977 GMC that I'm taking the 400sbc out and swapping a 2008 6.0 with a 4l80 tranny.
I'm going to be keeping the electronic fuel injection.

I want to just get the engine in the truck with not to many add-ons at first because I eventually want to do a mild turbo set up.

While I'm doing the engine swap I plan on doing a few other things like a full air ride set up.
I'm going to just cup the bottom control arms and 2.5 drop spindles on the front until I can afford a new drop member.
I don't want anything crazy for the 4 link on the rear suspension just something simple and affordable.
I could use some advise wit this???

Also doing all my body repair's like floors, rockers and some small misc. spots and raising the bed floor.

I've picked up a set of these Dirty Dingo engine mounts and this Trans-Dapt tranny crossmember.
I plan on building a custom crossmember in the future but this one will get me by for now.
I picked up the body panels from TopBanana and Floor Pams From  .

It's finally Nice to become a member of your family!
Peace

Does anyone know if I can run the stock oil pan on this LQ4 in a C10?

Will there be any fitment issues ??
