Thanks all. Will get some more pics in 3-4 days after more progress is made. I like Bilstiens as well chevn-up, the one problem with Bilstien is that they do not have (at least I could not find) the Quad shocks for the front of my K10. I had to get a Bilstein 24-009232 Series: B6 4600 & a Rancho on the front. Got the Bilstein 24-009331 Series: B6 4600 – Rear Shocks Installed. Also installed a Steering Damper Kit – Moog-ssd84.

Does anyone have a PIC of where the 4x4 indicator light switch connector wires run that comes from the top of the transfer case? I have wiring diagrams, was wondering how the wires are routed from the transfe case (through the floor shifter or under the hood and then through the firewall). I installed a new switch and connector. I had my tranfer case and transmission rebuilt some time ago and when I started my rebuild, I found out why my 4x4 indication light does not work. The connector was cut off and wires removed. Previously never bothered with it since everything worked (except the indicator light). If someone is doing a rebuild and have a pic of the wires that would be great.

Huge improvement for me switching from Ranchos (that were free to me) going to Bilsteins.  8)

Got my cab painted. Still have another coat of clear to apply (3 coats) and go over it a final time. Then clean it all up and start putting it back together. Also have to work on my bed and leer topper. It is a little difficult painting without a booth. However, got to do with what you have. I spent a while cleaning up some of the factory seams (such as above the rear window) to get a smoother look. Hope visible seams is not something people like to show on the trucks. Still have to paint my doors and fenders.

I agree about the seams and spot weld divots, can't believe they were so nonchalant about it.

That color looks like my '78 K10. Although the repaint done some years back looks a tinge lighter.

Nice Job for outdoors! My first car shoot was in the back lot of the apartment where I lived, about 2 pm when everyone was at work. Turned out well, no wind, had my buddy keeping the water flowing on the surrounding concrete and alley. '67  Olds Toronado

Thanks for the complements, still have a way to go. Look forward to one day getting it back on the road. Hope I can recall how to put it all back together and not have spare parts when I am done, LOL.

Thanks VZ! When putting my windshield and rear window back in my truck, I was not planning on using adhesive when I place my new seals on my cab (bought new Deluxe seals and Trim for both). I have noticed some use adhesive and would like to get advice.

I got the deluxe seals, they have the trim (the strip that goes in the seal) after the windshield is installed. Was thinking sealant (adhesive) is not needed with the seals and just wanted to make sure. Same type of seals for the windshield and rear cab window. The rubber seals should arrive soon, I ordered them online.

Illustrations of differences?  I'm getting set to get rid of my hated slider, and I'd like to see the benefits/drawbacks.  Sorry to pee in your thread Mike.   ;)
