No way I'd buy a new Chevy
I have a 07 3/4 ton 4wd as a company truck and it's the roughest riding pickup I've have ever driven

Just as bad as my 77 K-10
And worse than most all of my 18 wheelers
And it rattles and squeaks , transmission shifts horribly
Clanks and clunks , takes almost 3 seconds to go into gear when you drop it into drive

The Tundra I had before that , wow.  Now that was a nice truck
Rode like a car
Trans was smooth as silk
No squeaks or rattles

Light years better than ford or GM

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you're having those kinds of issues, you have something wrong with the truck. I've driven tons of newer trucks, both personal and company vehicles, they only have issues when they aren't cared for. The brand new trucks ride and run amazingly smooth.
I assume the $65K ones ride nice.    This is the plastic seat rubber floor can't adjust the mirrors work truck

But it's still a total POS
Whatever corners Chevy cut to make it a cheap work truck would keep me from ever buying a Chevy pickup of any kind
Fortunately this one belongs to my employer

I'm gonna try to remove some leafs from the springs and get them to swap the tires

Hopefully the company will buy a new one before too long and maybe I can talk them into a tundra instead of a Chevy

I haven't sen any indication that it has not been maintained ,
I do t see how skipping maintenance could make it ride worse than a dumptruck
That's just crap design or GM slapping on really stiff springs to call it a 3/4 ton
I suppose

It ride like my dads leaf spring jeep wrangler
Plus all the squeaks and rattles are just typical big three poor quality
They can brag all they want about how high quality their new vehicles are
Of course they are.  All brand new vehicles are nice
The real quality test is when it's ten years old and has 170K miles on it

My company truck is an '07 and it rides pretty decent with 3 boxes, a crane, and all the junk in it, the transmission had issues though. My dad just bought a '16 Silverado 1500 wt and it is the smoothest and quietest truck I've ever driven, my boss just got a '16 F150 sport and it's nice too, but the Chevy is smoother and quieter...I just hope they fix the Chevys  hood before I can afford a new truck...the '16 hood is UGLY and makes no sense.

I will admit, the the '16 front end is cool, the double dimples in the hood do seem pointless, it looked better without them. The 2500 hoods don't have them, there's your solution lol.

Ok LTZ, at least your honest, i'll respect that.  Regarding fords, that is.

And roundhouse, you are correct. Of course they should be perfect when they are brand new, but 10 yrs down the road is what matters.

Oh yeah, i take the prize for being the stupid one and selling a car i should have kept. Are you ready,,,,70 chevelle LS 6.  Beat that.
Edit: but in 1985, they were everywhere.

You mean you would pass up a 1967 Shelby GT500?
And I wouldn't even regret it one bit.

Why would you pass up a million dollar american classic muscle car? Wait, is it a Cali thing? Lol
I didn't want one when they were worn out worthless gas guzzlers and don't want one now

Most people only want cars because everyone else wants it

My fave is a 66 Thunderbird town coupe or town landau

They have never been worth much and won't ever be worth much
But Ive owned 5 and will buy another one one of these days

I've regretted selling every old car I've ever had
Not because they are valuable and desirable now
But because I thought  they were cool then and only sold em to fund the next one
   I've had a 70 Trans am cost me $1200 in 1992
A 69 Mercury cyclone cake Yarbrough edition $275 in 1981
A 66 thunderbird 428 $600 in '1980
A 69 thunderbird 4 door 429. $400 in 1981

Etc etc
Never cared much for mustangs
I have a soft spot for the land yachts like mid to the late 60's thru early 70's Mopar C-bodies, late 60's Mercury and Lincoln, and the late 70's T-Bird barge with the 460.

Had a 78 T-Bird barge and a two 1966 New Yorkers. I miss all three even that '78 fuel hog.

The new Cadillacs are being made by the Chinese.

After the American taxpayer bailed them out.

The new Gminese sucks.

Allison had to bail out Gm trucks in the transmission dept.

THANK GOODNESS for the oldies.

What was it called Nafta, allows no tariff between   Canada, Mexico and U.S.A

Auto makers have been taking advantage of cheap Mexican labor back to the mid 90's

NAFTA is a treaty not a bill.  Poor negotiation at best.

Woops wrong word, or you could call it an "agreement" signed into law.

Either way, bad idea.

Wouldn't trade my square away buuuuuuuut, that doesn't mean I can't like others.

I could be wrong tho I haven't seen a motorcraft part with the word China on it the package.

No government bail out for Ford either.

Otherwise I'm ok with all three at least with the older vehicles spells American.

Are you sure about that?

Read these and decide if Ford was able to live without your hard earned tax dollars:

5.9billion from Uncle Sugar:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/2009/06/23/ford-gets-5-billion-government-loan.html

This is the cute one. 7billion taxpayer dollars the article calls "black ops" so that Ford can fly under the radar of websites like the one we are on:

You'll like this one from Forbes back in 2012:

There used to be an awesome WSJ article however I can no longer find it. But you get the picture.

In 1983 my 69 cyclone Yarbrough edition was worth $500

Now it would be worth $40K

The same day i sold it I went to a local auto auction and a guy was there with a 69 GTO judge 455/4 speed

I kinda liked it but didn't think it was worth his reserve of $1600
And neither did anyone else at the auction .....

That's good stuff E.

49 billion for Gm and they'd paid back roughly half .

9 billion for Chrysler who full-filled there obligation, hmmmm

Just under 6 billion for Ford and still owes.

Not really a comparison for either Ford or Chrysler compared to Gm.

Lesser of the Evils but evil no less.

Still can't stand the Gminese building Cadillacs after all that and the parts for Delco.

Hart what they all have become but again what isn't.

Even Boeing Aircraft puts Chinese parts on their aircraft.

I own 3 Chevy's 3 Fords and no Chryslers or Foreign Manufacturers.

How much of them is truly U.S.A, well?
