front swaybar

i need help with how to install bushings for front swaybar i have bought 2 sets neither set will fit
 does anybody know of a special tool for pressing them in
                                       86 k 20 4x4

If you're talking about the eye bushings that bolt to the spring plates, Mr. Hotwrench (aka torch) is your friend. Do it outside because that smell stinks to high h**l.

The poly ones I used went in from each side in 2 pieces then slide the metal roll pin lookin thing through.

don't think i want to melt them in but thanks, could you tell me where you got the two part bushings at what brand ?

I bought Energy suspension bushings from Summit.  Depending on what size bar you have should be from 20-45 bucks for all the bushings the end ones and the frame mounts.  Energy suspension has a pretty decent website for looking up part numbers then I just put the number into a summit search and presto exactly what i need, no run around.

Thought you were talking about removing the old ones. Anyway, the new ones are 2 piece as stated above. Wire wheel the insides out to remove any rust and burrs, then lube it up and go to town. I've found the easiest way is to install the sleeve into one of the halves then install it into the sway bar. Then lube the other half and with persuasion the other half will go right in.

I used a vice to clamp them together when I did mine.
