4 speed transmission
« on: October 13, 2019, 09:48:17 AM »
Hey all! Haven't been on in a while but I am picking up a 1983 C-10, 2 wheel drive, 350 with a three on the tree. What 4 or 5 speed transmission will bolt in without too many mods? Would rather not have the granny gear. Thanks!

Zero modifications to drive shaft if you can find a NP440 3 speed OD manual.  A Muncie M20 or Saginaw 4 speed also will fit in place of your Muncie 3 speed.  If you want to go automatic a short tail shaft TH350 also is the same length.  Others will require driveshaft mods

Thanks for the reply. I know of a few Saginaw 4 speeds around me for sale.
