Those that have Done K5 Fuel tank swaps

(1/2) > >>

87scottsdale:
I have been looking and it's finally time to completely restore my 87 Scottsdale. I am interested in getting rid of the "saddle tank" Driver side only on my particular truck. I am willing to relocate etc,but filler options are making me lerry. Truck has a 6" lift so bed mounted filler is out of the question. I have also seen Mr Kleen's write up behind the tail light, but it wasn't a clean execution. I am worried about articulation and rubbing a bunch of holes in crap.

Anyone with something lifted and uses their rig as intended do one of the swaps? Truck is not a rock crawler or anything and 70% will be road driven, but when I see a hill I know it will pull I feel obligated.. :P

Answers,pictures,direction etc is greatly appreciated!!!

Why do you want to get rid of it?

More exhaust routing options, better weight distribution, traction etc etc..

87scottsdale:
Truck is a TBI (OG) to Tuned port if that matters.

Mine is located in basically the same spot as a Blazer which if it had a lift won't matter as my current Blazer has a 6" lift..
