wich mufflers to go with!
« on: June 24, 2008, 08:34:36 PM »
just curious guys, what do the delta flow 40 series flowmasters sounds next to the origina 40 series, lookin to put there stainless steel mufflers on but found them in the delta flow series only, just curious is there was much of a sounds diffrence between the two, lookin for that nice deep town,i have had super turbos and i currently have on a pair of Jones mufflers, wich if you guys are familiar with are not,are pretty much a run off of flowmaster, except half the price, and not quit as deep as sound, not the original flowmaster sound should say,but anyway,i have 2 1/2 inch straight pipe comming off my headers to end right behind the cab,and i mean they cut off pretty much at the end of the cab,how much of a diffrence would tunrdowns be as far as a diffrence in the sound of the mufflers, thanks guys!

delta flows are quieter..especially inside the cab..Once i get the original 40s off my old '84, they're going on this truck to replace my glasspacks, which are far too quiet.

Here's another option for you.  Little bit louder than blowmasters.  I really like the sound

its a fairly stock 350 with long tubes, dual 2.5", H pipe, and dynomax bullets

Those are just short glass packs with the dynomax name on em..Those look to be 15 or 18", mine are 26 or 28" and are significantly quieter than that...

I have to agree, I liked my spintech.  It took a bit for it to grow on me, but I realized how different it sounded and I liked it.  Sorry I don't have any clips for you to hear.

Once I get my flows off my parts truck, these long glasspacks are going in the trash..If I didn't frequently get up and have to leave at 5 am, I'd run blown out short packs..I don't like quiet exhaust AT ALL. The more interior resonance the better.
