Fuel Line Routing

(1/2) > >>

Manswame:
Has anyone tried rerouting their fuel line from the pump to the carb on an '82 305? The routing behind the alternator is a pain in the butt and would like to know if its possible to run it elsewhere without any issues.

VileZambonie:
I think routing it that way is the best option.

75gmck25:
That's the simplest routing to keep it out of the way.  However, I have tall valve covers and the original routing does not leave much space to cut it and install an external fuel filter where its easy to access, but not jammed between the valve cover and air cleaner.

Stewart G Griffin:
One thing to keep in mind is keeping the line close to the front of the block and behind the alternator keeps it away from the exhaust manifolds or headers, which keeps the line away from HEAT.

When you say pia,  what do you mean more specifically?

JohnnyPopper:
p= pain
i= in
A=derriere
