Sway bar question
« on: March 22, 2011, 05:56:37 PM »
Both driver side sway bar bushings are gone due to power steering leak, and one bolt off the control arm. Turned the bushings into jelly! Is there more than one stock diameter for the.sway bars? Its 3/4 ton so would it be bigger? And for the bolt, ahould I just pull one out and match it or doer anyone know what size?

3/4 tons came with 1 1/4" sway bar.  The control arm bolt is I believe 3/8"x 1" with the nut on the bottom side of the control arm.

I think it was the 1tons that came with the biggest 1 1\4in. front sway bar. I would look for a dually and grab the bar off it, a single rear wheel 1ton would have the big bar to just easier to spot a dually.

Might look to see if one has a rear sway bar as well, they are kinda rare.
