Frankentruck.
« on: January 20, 2017, 10:53:13 AM »

Having trouble finding the repair kit needed. Its in an 84 gmc k1500 4x4 front driveshaft. But of course 84 wont fit it. Any ideas on what year its from would be appreciated.

thats a 1st design driveshaft pre 77. it bolts onto a yoke on the front of the transfer case. the 2nd design is stronger and will have a flange on it.

i had that style on my mud truck, i rebuilt it with that 612 kit from napa. then after snapping a bolt or two on the yoke i decided i really hatted that style and the bolts were hard as heck to tighten and keep tight. i took another 205 apart and swapped some of the guts out so i could have the flange style.

youre welcome for the help, thats what most of us are here for
