Power Steering Squeal

So I finally got my 1985 K20 6.2L up and running and noticed when I turn the wheel to far the power steering pump seems to try and stop. Same thing seems to happen when you press the brakes all the way in while parked. I’m leaning towards it needs a new power steering pump.[img]

And the belts don’t look bad but I have another set coming just in case

But are the belts sufficiently tight?

Air in the P/S fluid generally results in a "whine" rather than "squeal."  Remove the P/S cap to ensure the proper fluid level and inspect for foaming of the fluid.  There should be no air bubbles in the reservoir.  Reinstall the cap and run the engine, cranking the steering wheel and pouncing on the brake pedal to recreate the noise.  Shut the engine off then recheck the P/S fluid for air bubbles or foaming.
