I decided to try the TBI swap and after a lot of research decided to pull the throttle body/harness/etc from a 1987 R10 (350, 700R4) at the local salvage yard. I opted to use an adapter plate to mount the throttle body to my stock spreadbore intake, and I used an inline Walbro TBI pump. I did not use EGR as there was no way to connect it due to the adapter plate in the way. My engine is a crate 350 absolutely stock. She cranked right up but as it warms up begins to stumble, backfire, and dies.
I am getting fuel from the injectors, the timing is close (about 6 BTDC, but dies if I unplug the tan/black wire that is disconnected to set the timing). I probably won't get to work on it until next weekend, thought I'd get some input on things to check. Thanks
