You know, I was wondering if this switch difference thing was a case of it being built other than in the US (like Canada, maybe), but this one was built in Flint.

The mystery continues...

Going through my old PC and backing up files I came across a bunch of pics I have on this. The 73-75 push pull dual tank setup used a cable operated switching valve. A guy was selling this and I didn't need it but wanted it for the nostalgia, nevertheless I will add the pics I collected here for information purposes.

Do you know for sure which years had this one.  My wiring diagrams only show it in 1974 & 1975 with no RPO.

As far as I can tell 73-75 had the push pull option and then they were all electronic switching valves after and for replacements. My 74 GMC Sierra Grande 454 1500 came with dual tanks and push pull setup.

OK, now I'm thoroughly confused.  Here are the pics I just took, of the selector switch in my '74, which came with dual tanks from the factory.  It's identical in every way from what I remember from our 74 and 76 crews, and my own 76.  None of the three of them ever required you to do anything other than merely flip the switch - they were definitely not momentary switches.  I never even saw a tank switch with the words "Depress Fully" on the switchplate until our '85.  It was definitely a momentary, because it had a short somewhere that would blow the fuse if you held the switch down too long.

That's the 75 or 76-80 solenoid valve switch.  It's a DPDT switch with 5 terminals.  The 6 port Solenoid valve is now obsolete just like the original 73-75 push pull.  I wonder if GM had thier dealer service departments replace the push pull with the first generation rocker switch setup if there were issues...

The switches with "Depress Fully" are momentary polarity reversing switches.  They're original to the 81-86 motorized valve system.

I recommend using the 87-91 TBI switches on all of the 81 and later motorized valve setups.  The valve motor shuts off automatically as soon as it gets to the end of its' travel.

As far as I can tell 73-75 had the push pull option and then they were all electronic switching valves after and for replacements. My 74 GMC Sierra Grande 454 1500 came with dual tanks and push pull setup.

I've been looking at the 73-80 GM Factory wiring diagrams to compile a writeup on the Auxiliary tank setups.  Chris has my scans of all of them in the tech section if you care to look.
I found an odd thing in these service manuals that might call into question how these valves were allocated from 73-77...

-The 73 manual shows the Solenoid valve wiring ONLY.  It's marked NL2.  No diagram for the Push Pull valve and switch in the 73 manual.
-The 74 manual shows the Cable valve wiring ONLY. It's Marked NL2.  No diagram for the Solenoid valve and switch in the 74 manual.

-78 & 79 show the same as the 73 Solenoid system drawing
-80 adds a, now obsolete, retained accessory power relay to the valve.  Probably to keep fuel flowing if AUX is selected when the truck is started.

-The 75 to 77 wiring manuals have three (yes three) Auxiliary tank wiring diagrams.
-----Two are marked NL2.  One matches the 1973 Solenoid Drawing and the other matches the 1974 Cable Valve drawing.
-----The third is marked "Auxiliary Fuel Tank Accessory".  It has the same 5 position plug and rocker switch as the Solenoid system.  But.  Only the double pole "sender to gauge" switching side is populated.
It looks like it was possible to have either NL2 system installed on the 75-77 trucks... ????
AND What is the third wiring diagram with no RPO?

Somewhere in the discussion I think we lost the original question about finding a toggle switch, which were usually used with dealer-installed dual tanks.  The factory installed switch for dual tanks changed over time, sometimes using a plastic rocker switch and other times a plastic bodypush-pull switch.

Are you looking for a dealer-installed DPDT toggle switch, or a factory replacement switch?  Some Internet companies offer a good selection of factory switches, and a standard DPDT toggle switch should be available in most auto parts or electronic parts stores.  You can also buy spring-loaded momentary-on DPDT switches if that is what you need.
