Hello from NC
« on: May 30, 2019, 03:19:53 PM »
Hey all, I recently acquired this ‘84 C20. A bit ambitious, but I’d like to restore it. I believe it sat for 8-10 years but everything’s there and it does run and drive. My prior vehicle experience consists of changing brakes, oil, and struts... so I’m in for a ride. I’m here to learn as much as I can.

Looks good and a whole lot cleaner than truck in the rust belt.  Welcome from the St. Louis, MO area!

Welcome from SoCal!

Nice starter, looks like mostly cosmetic.

If you're good with the list you posted, you'll be fine.

Look to rebuilding the doors; rubber seals, window scrapers, felt channels.

Huge difference when blowing down the highway unless you like high pitched whistles.

Take lots of pics when/as you disassemble.

Where in N/C are you?

I’m in Clayton. About 30 minutes from Raleigh
