Title: wheel studs
Post by: dragmine on April 02, 2006, 10:09:00 AM
Hey folks. Im having a problem locating longer wheel studs for my 78. I bought new wheels and they call for 1 and 1/2 the diameter of the stud which is 3/4" I have 5/8"thread not enough.Im trying to locate hardened studs for the rear 10 bolt as i drag it.And longer ones for the rotors.ARP and Moroso do not list any thing.Any ideas on cross reference from other vehicles or companys that might make some. I can supply specs. if needed .    thanks.

Just go to an autoparts store and match them up...
or look online. Google wheel studs

good eye.No! 1/2" stud. And ive been to the local parts store. All I need is 1/4 to 1/2" longer stud.A  Ford econoline will fit the rotors which  is longer but the nurl is not quite the same, but I think they will work. Its the rear I am having problems with.I dont really want to drill the axles

Try a Summit Racing or a Jegs catalog. Summit has Moroso wheel studs 1/2" X 3" long in 4 different knurl sizes.

Hope this helps.
