Had the truck warming up before school the other morning and when I got to school, the temp was pegged. The water pump had quit flowing. Towed the truck home and finally got the thing fixed and put back together at 2:00 AM this morning. New 180 thermostat, new Signature Series brand water pump, new timing set, balancer, timing cover, oil pan, and bearings(rods and mains and rear main seal) and HV oil pump). The trck had been leaking oil so I fixed it all. Anyway, started the truck, it warmed up, but missed on two cylinders, drove it for 5 minutes or so and it heated up to 230 degrees. Got out and looked at the exhaust, driver side was okay, passenger side could fog out a city block. So, the 993 heads are junk now, water in oil, most likely cracked a head, so now the 601 heads that are supposed to be going on my 350 project for next spring will now be going on the 350 in my truck. Hopefully the block and rotating assembly is still good. Otherwise it will be time to sell the truck. That would be upsetting.
