305 Header question
« on: April 14, 2011, 08:59:37 AM »
Alright, so right now I've got stock exhaust manifolds on my '82 305. Ive also got an old spare set of 350 headers sitting in my garage, what I want to know is:

1) Will 350 headers fit on a 305?
2) Is it worth putting headers on a 305, or am I just better off saving them for another project?

Im slowly building up a 400SB for the truck, but in the meantime I just thought maybe these would be cool.

The headers will fit. You may see a small performance increase, maybe not, but if you are going to modify the pipes to fit headers on that truck anyway, if you do it now that work will already be done when you get your 400 ready to go in it. I don't see any downside to it.

I'd throw them on and mock up whatever exhaust set up you want for your 400. Whenever you have your 400 built up, drop it in and you're set.
