Would you happen to know the stock downpipe size?   Also, can i use the sintered metal donut on both sides?

I'm not certain on the stock downpipe size. I'm thinking it's 2 1/4", but it could be 2"...  Others may chime in with the correct specs. If not, I can do some research.

In my case, the driver side manifold didn't require the donut; only the passenger side. The driver's side manifold had a 'pivot' cast integral with the manifold.  Later exhaust manifolds may need a donut gasket for both sides, I wouldn't see any reason why you couldn't use the sintered metal donut on both sides.

i think i have 1.75" which seems odd, but maybe i'm not measuring it right.   So yeah, if you could do some research i would appreciate it.

The reason i'm asking is i'm trying to put a 4.3 v-6 where the v-8 small block was.  In this case, the exhaust manifolds aren't quite the same.  Somewhat close, but not the same.   So i'll have to do some modification.

Mine is 83, 305 2WD.

At this time, it looks like 2" for the downpipe.  The Walker part number for the 4.3 V-6 Y-pipe is 40423.

If you have a stock style single exhaust, you ought to be able to use the Y-pipe  listed above (assuming the manifolds are correct for the 85-87 pickup) and adapt it to your current exhaust.

I should be able to do some more research a bit later.

You might want to start a new thread with the more specifics on your exhaust dilemma.

It should be 2" for trucks from what I remember.
