89 700r4 in to 86 k10
« on: November 24, 2015, 04:54:18 PM »
OK guys found a good deal on a 700r4 out of an 89 4x4 on cl. Couple of questions though...I know I want a 208 I know it needs a 27 spline shaft but I keep getting different answers on the bolt pattern and looking around online didn't help do I need one with a 6bolt round pattern or with 4 bolts square? Do I need to worry about the lock up or should that be the same in a 87 (using the harness out of my 87 2wheel drive and a 350tbi) ? ...also will my drive shafts be the same going from a 4speed/ 208 to the 700r4/208?

Can help on two points, 6 bolt round on 208 transfer for 700r4

And driveshaft lengths are extremely close for sm465 and 208 to reuse shafts
