Where do I find white dumbo mirrors?

If worst comes to worst, I'll powder-coat mine, but getting the mirror glass to stay in afterwards isn't as fun.

If you're talking about the "extended camper mirrors", the first thing I'd try to do is talk you out of 'em.  Snag 'em on anything...brush, fence post, another vehicle mirror, etc...and your door is dimpled.  I've owned a few trucks with 'em, and currently own three with those things.  Any truck that has 'em has dimpled doors, whether miniscule or pronounced.

Worst. Mirrors. Ever.

...at least in my humble opinion.

I rarely see them on trucks in salvage yards.  They came on bare bones trucks.  Unless you get lucky on eBay your best bet is to have them powder coated and have a glass shop install new mirrors.  Another option would be wet paint.  Use a suitable etching primer on the stainless and the paint should adhere fine.

I have two i'm trying to sell, you may have them for free. Nice white clean ones. New grommets too.

Thats great, I'm glad they worked out for you. I've been trying to sell those on craigslist for over a year!

Once you touch em up a little and mount them, send a pic of the finished product.

They are the perfect patina to match my Arizona sun-blasted truck...no touch-up required! 


Since it's my daily driver, I won't have a chance to put the truck down until my vacation comes around, or my job decides that in other states, the corona virus is attacking folks, so we better shut down, so pics may be a little bit.

Sounds like a good plan. Here in New England we dont have year round dry sunny warm weather. Just getting out of salt season now. My daily driving goes from April-Oct.
