Stepside Rollpans....Calling for Pics and Comments
« on: December 16, 2008, 08:00:48 AM »
Guys,

I'm in the market for a rollpan for the back of my truck.  I've seen a few options all over the net and was wondering if there is any difference in fitament, quality, connection, etc.  I would like mine to have the license box included.

If your stepper has a rollpan, please post up pics to help me decide whether I want to follow through with this or not.

I know they are posted in galleries and other posts, but I was hoping to try and bring them all to one spot for my and future reference.

Thanks in advance!

Man, I love the stance and rollpan on the silver one!  Any idea what kind of drop that is?  Also, a few of those have the Corvette style lights, is there anyone that makes the rollpans with the lighs pre-cut/installed?

The silver truck has airbags and I think it is bodydroped. I also have pix of it with the backend done different.

Silvrbreez check out the taillight tread in 73-87 trucks I posted a pic of one with caddy lights.

I was pretty dead set on going with a stock chrome rear bumper, but seeing those pics of (especially the flat black/primer) has me second guessing.

Now to figure out the tail lights I want to go with...

Yeah the flat black one had me second guessing my bumper too but I think I am gonna keep it and go with LEDs. ;D

I have a roll pan on my 8' stepside. I would rather have the stock rear bumper but this does a better job trying to hide the Suburban gas tank.

It seems odd that the ad does not show a picture of one mounted on a stepside truck. All of the pics posted on this thread show the roll pan tuck around the side of the bed to meet up with the stepside fender (mine has a gap due to the 8' bed).
To me the picture in the ad looks like a roll pan for a fleetside bed. Hopefully I'm wrong but the ad also says that it fits a 73-87 C/K 30 stepside and  Ive never seen a factory 1 ton stepside.
Good luck with the project and please post pictures to show how it fits your truck.

Fitz,
they advertised it it`ll fit so i`m keeping them to their word.Plus i see there feedback is very good so i dont think they would want to have a bad reputation especially on ebay.Plus by the looks of it i say it is for a stepside, i had a fiberglass 1 before and i can tell by that lip on top that this 1 looks just as close as the 1 i had.

thanks
