I have a sunpro 1000 tach that I have surgically inserted into the dash panel.
Now I have a cool looking dash with 4 wires dangling down.
White. To lamps
Black to ground
Red to Switched Power
Green ???????????
I have a 87 short step with the 350 and TBI. Bone stock
Should the green go to the distributor, or to the neg coil?
If the dist, where on that muther should it attach?
A six pac for anyone withh pics.........

On my 86, there is a spot on the HEI distributor that is labeled "Tach." Plug the wire into that and you're good to go.

The green wire connects to the "White" distributor pulse wire off the coil (see image). ;)

87 TBI used a divorced coil that bolted to the manifold. On 86 & prior the coil was married to the cap.

So I use the taped off tach wire, right? Does anyone know what the connector number is?
Thanks

Use the taped off tach wire. Locate a mating OE-type connector at your local parts house.
