Just a trial fire up the other day.  No issues at all.  Gonna try to get time this weekend and run the wires and radiator and all and start it up and let it idle.  It is soooooo loud with open headers.  It sounds super strong.  The Holley Street Avenger worked right out of the box as advertised.  The cam sounds great.  Maybe I can post a vid or at least an audio clip after Sunday...

No wiring needed other than a 12 volt keyed.  The trans has a ground strap.  The way that Phoenix does the lockup, when ever it's in 4th gear, it automatically locks.  When it downshifts, it unlocks.  Pretty cool.

Are you saying that the converter will lockup as soon as it goes into 4th...as in, any time it's in 4th the lock up in the converter is locked? Or just that the clutch won't lock up in 2nd or 3rd...just 4th? Lorne

Won't lock up in anything but 4th.  I'll let in ya know more in a few days when it's on the road.

Worked on the engine compartment today.  Wires all cleaned up.  Tranny lines measured and ran, just need to install the cooler.  Put on a GM Performance air breather.  Got the other fender on and just gotta get everything lined up and bolted up tight and get the fans wired in.  Whew....what a bunch of bolts.  Man things sure slow down during this phase.  Hopefully on the road Wednesday (my next day off).  Hope everyone has a great and safe Memorial Day and remember the reason for the day.  Here's a few recent pics.

Just a friendly reminder though...  If you are running a flat tappet cam you will want to avoid letting it idle and do the proper cam break-in procedure. If this is the case you will not want to use those new headers right away because it could ruin the coating. If you're using a roller cam disregard this post. Nice work
