Ive just got a pair of small little 2"x2' or so cherry bomb glass packs. And they sound great at idle. I have a pretty choppy cam. But its just puttputtputt puttputtputt putt puttputt pupputty putt putt all day long. Deep tone. Love it. And it screams when i floor it. Ill see if i can find a camera that can actually record the sound. Because my phone distorts for some reason.

Ive heard many people like the Super 44's by flowmaster. In their webpage they are listed under "Loud". Would they get you in trouble?

I have a pair of 8" glasspacks coming off headers.  It's as quiet as a mouse. ;)

Hahaha I bet those glasspacks are quiet.. I had glasspacks on mine but I want a deeper tone like Screamin was saying the bassy tone, I just love that so much I want it for my truck, no more obnoxiously loud. Im not sure about the 44's they probebly wouldnt be too loud I havent really done much research on other Flowmasters other then the Super 10's I have and the 40 on my buddys 2001 S10. I sorta want something different now but then the decal on my back window would be pointless.. haha. And yup its only money lol

And thanks Screamin86, I like the sound on both your rigs there nice. What brands the vortex? I subscribed and added you as a friend on youtube hope thats alright  8)

my dually has turbo glass packs they have a good sound to them heres a link to a youtube video i did that has it running its queit when going down the road but when u hit the gas they wake up my friend can hear me from half a mile a wayu which is the end of our street if i rev the motor its not to loud it draws attention from cops"aka the dounut eating pigs" lol but it is a good start if u havent decided yet. also i have a 366 big block with true dual and extended tube headers it might be quieter on you vehicle since you would have to have catgs to pass inspection

You need to tighten your alternator belt. It was flapping around like a fish out of water.

Nice truck! I want a dually of these years, I love duallys. And it sounds good too thanks for the vid and the input.
I made up my mind with Magnaflow, my trucks at my buddys Dad's shop where were doing all the work and my buddys Dad has a 93 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 and he comes by and talks then head up to the house and really opens it up going up the hill and it sounded soooo good, so when we went up to the house I crawled under the truck and it has a Magnaflow so im going to figure out what model and stuff. Thanks for the help everyone. I cant wait to hear my truck once im done

My vote goes for a flowmaster 50 series. They are nice and deep at idle and cruising, get on it and they bark nicely.

I've got the Thrush welded on right now. I had some Purple hornie glasspacks first.

The thrush haven't been broken in really but I've been told once they have, they sound alot better. As of right now, pretty mellow cruising and wakes up when I'm on it. I can tell they have the potential sound I'm looking for. They were recommended to me so I tried 'em out. I'd go with those or the thrush turbos.

I ditched the purple hornies because it was just a short time set up until I had the funds for a better system. They were header back, loud as heck, but I wanted either an H pipe or X pipe set. If you want the noise go that route.

I can't remember the article I found online, but it had a diagram of mufflers by sound and performance. The strait flow were the loudest, performed the best. The center to offset was next. Then the offsets. Then the offset to dual. Something along those lines. They also had them by length.
