Looking for lower temperature sensor housing on a 250
« on: May 24, 2017, 07:43:35 PM »
Does anyone know where I can buy a new temperature sensor housing for 250 engine. Unfortunately mine cracked and I did not notice it until the engine was completely rebuilt. I need the lower part of the housing that is bolted onto the front of the engine, not the water neck. I have checked eBay, and my local craigslist.

Please include Year, Make, Model etc.. when posting

Providing the relevant year/model information will make it much easier to offer assistance.

I haven't seen one of those housings for many moons.  The original GM part number for the item you need is 14001967 (AC Delco P/N 15-80766).  The item has been discontinued by GM.  Nonetheless, armed with the OE part number, you may have luck using the parts locator network at your local Chevrolet/GMC dealer to find NOS, or to cross to an aftermarket service replacement.  Try a local engine rebuilder.  Otherwise, you may need to begin cruising the salvage yards.
