Fueling problem

Hey anybody else have a problem putting gas in the stock tank. I have a 77 Cheyenne 350 with the stock right side fuel tank, I have tried using the nozzle upside down, going slow and it still seems to want to spill out, I had a 77 chev about 22 yrs ago and never had this issue? Thanks Jim

are you shoving the whole nozzle in the tank and locking the lever?  If so pull it back some and hold it.

Hey Chris, yes i have tried that, it still overflows, I have to barely squeeze the nozzle to get any fuel in the tank which takes forever

i have a 79 k10 and have the same problem. i have to barely put the nozzle in and fill slowly or the pump shuts of like the tank is full. when it gets close to being full itll spew out. i wish i knew a way to fix it but for now it sucks!

you need to hold it to fill it and not put it in all the way and let it sit there.

i have had this problem---both trying to fill AND overflowing at some gas stations.  The solution for me is to find a gas station(s) where the nozzle "works" with your truck and try to fill there.

Mobil seems to work good for me.

I do what stewart does too. Find a gas station with nozzles that work on your truck, and just stick to them.
